We found that the natural grippiness of leather was the ideal medium for holding pens securely in place without crushing or distending them. Unlike suedes or velvets, smooth leather is also slick, in no way impeding the smooth extraction of the pen.

Stunning Tipped Grain Texture
Our Dumont leather features a unique tipped grain effect, which creates the appearance of heavily textured pebbled leather but with a soft, smooth feel. Unlike other leathers, in which this effect is achieved through machine embossing, our tipped grain effect is achieved naturally through milling during the tanning process. With no full topcoat covering, you are able to experience the leather itself directly with every touch.
Patinas Beautifully with Age and Use
The leather of this pen case has been treated with a mild wax finish. As a result, scratches and marks may be more noticeable until they are softly buffed out. With time, as the natural oils and waxes settle, these minor blemishes will merge back into the original color, resulting in unique tonal changes in the leather.
